From back shed to boardroom

Businesses keep asking us to help tell their story. So we do — with the same care, craft and curiosity we bring to every family documentary.

No brief needed. Just tell us what you're thinking.

Who we work with

Three reasons businesses

call Reflections

The craft is in the conversation. Hundreds of family and personal interviews later, we've learned that the best stories are never the rehearsed ones.

01

The founder's story

Your founder built something extraordinary. Before the details fade, we capture their voice, their journey, and the decisions that changed everything.

02

Company anniversary

10, 25, 50 years in business. A heritage film that honours where you came from — and gives everyone a deep understanding of what they're part of.

03

The family who built it

The best business stories are often really family stories. The story of how it all began belongs both to your brand — and your family.

A business storyteller in conversation

"Our interviewers have drawn out extraordinary stories from some of New Zealand's most respected figures. When you're ready to tell yours, we're ready to capture it."

What sets us apart

We make films people feel,

not corporate videos they endure

Award-winning interviewers

Our interviewers know how to draw out a great story. And yes, it's usually a lot of fun.

Multiple interviews

Founders, co-founders, early staff, family members — we weave multiple voices into one coherent story.

Multiple locations

The original workshop, the first office, the factory floor. We film where the story actually happened.

Archive integration

Old photos, early footage, newspaper clippings — we work your history into the film.

Multiple deliverables

Full documentary, short highlights reel, social cuts — whatever your business needs, we plan for it from day one.

Warm, not corporate

We make films people actually watch and feel. Not brand videos. Not talking heads. Real stories, told beautifully.

Common questions

Things businesses

usually ask us

Can you interview multiple people?

Yes. Many of our business projects involve multiple subjects — the founder, a long-serving employee, a family member. Our team structures each film so it feels like one story told by many voices.

Can you film at multiple locations?

Sure can. Whether it's the original back shed, a factory floor, or a corner office, we can come to where the story happened. Travel is factored into your custom package.

Can you use old photos, footage, or archive material?

Yes. Historical material gives depth and emotion to a story, so we actively encourage it. The only caveat: material needs to be in workable condition for our team.

What will the final film look like?

That depends on your needs. Most business projects produce a full documentary (15–60 minutes) and a highlights reel (2–4 minutes) for events or social use. Others add short social clips. We scope the deliverables with you from day one.

How much does it cost?

Every project is scoped individually based on the number of subjects, locations, and deliverables. Book a discovery call and we'll give you a clear sense of what's involved and what it costs.
